“Then Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself [determinedly, as his vital need] to seek the Lord; he proclaimed a fast in all Judah.”  II Chronicles 20:3

The body of believers at ALWC will spend 21 days “Praying for Breakthrough”. Breakthrough occurs when the people of God dedicate themselves to seeking Jesus and fully embrace the power of His presence. Our prayer guide this year will be Pastor Derry’s new book, Praying for Breakthrough (Available on Amazon, and in The Abundant Treasures Bookstore)

During our 21 days, we will have a weekly focus:
  • Week 1: RETURN & ALIGN (March 15 – March 21)
  • Week 2: WARFARE & BREAKTHROUGH (March 22 – March 28)
  • Week 3: ADVANCE & BUILD (March 29 – April 4)
We will focus on drawing closer to Him and obtaining spiritual breakthroughs.  In uniting together during this time of corporate fasting, we are expecting to experience greater glory and see a greater demonstration of God’s miraculous power and presence in our lives and in the life of this ministry.

This 21-day fast will begin at Sundown, Saturday, March 15, and end at Sunrise, Saturday, April 4.

There are various ways you can fast during this time to accommodate your lifestyle, schedule, and the leading of the Holy Spirit:

  • Normal Fast – Abstaining from food and drinking liquids only (water and/or juice) during our fast until a designated time each day.
  • Partial Fast (Daniel Fast) – Abstaining from certain foods or omitting certain meals during our fast; eating or juicing fruit and vegetables only; eating one meal a day.
  • You can also abstain from amusements such as television and social media.
  • Indulgences (negativity, language, thoughts, or speech) etc.
